Request for Proposals: Manhole Rehabilitation and Sewer Lining

The Board of Public Works & Safety for the City of Butler, Indiana (DeKalb County) Wastewater Department is soliciting responses to a "Request for Proposals" (RFP) for the rehabilitation of manhole and the lining of sewers.

The RFP guidelines are included with this announcement. The guidelines may also be obtained from the Butler Utility Office, 215 S. Broadway, Butler, Indiana, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM (local time), Monday through Friday. The guidelines may be obtained from the Utility Office from August 27, 2015 through September 11, 2015. The RFP and Guidelines are also available on the City’s website at

RE: Response to RFP for MH Rehabilitation and Sewer Lining

Responses must be received by no later than 3:00 PM (local time) on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Utility Office address identified above.  Any responses received after that time will not be accepted.  Three (3) copies of the response to this request must be submitted.  The proposals will then be opened immediately following the deadline.

RFP responses must be submitted in the format outlined in the following guidelines.  Each RFP response will be reviewed to determine if it is complete prior to actual evaluation.  The Butler Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all RFP responses and will be the sole judge of the value and merit of the RFP responses offered.

It is the intent of the Butler Wastewater Department to use the efforts described in the Scope of Work for the RFP to make improvements to the Department’s collection system component to reduce inflow and infiltration.
