BUTLER WATER DEPARTMENT CANCELS BOIL WATER ADVISORY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
Boil water advisory was issued on July 25, 2017 to residents in the 100-300 blocks of John St. due to a loss of pressure in the water distribution system IS CANCELLED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Bacteriological samples have been collected and analyzed indicating that the water is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary to boil the water.

Residents in the 100-300 blocks of John St, as shown on the map, are advised to boil their water before consumption for the next 78 hours. Boil the water for at least 5 minutes and allow it to cool before drinking.
A water leak at the intersection of John St and Green St caused a loss of water pressure. The loss of pressure could have allowed contamination to enter the system.
