Butler, Indiana is applying for federal funds to make improvements to their storm water system on the south side of the city. The city is applying to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant funding.
As part of the Section 106 Historic Review process, the City of Butler has issued a “No Historic Properties Affected” finding for this project. This finding is based on the fact that no historic properties have been identified to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
Per the National Historic Preservation Act, the views of the public are being sought regarding the effect of the proposed project on any historic elements within the area (per 36 CFR 800.4(d)(1), and 800.2(d)(2). The documentation specified in 36 CFR 800.11 is available for inspection at City Hall from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, located at 215 South Broadway Street, Butler, Indiana. This documentation serves as the basis for the City of Butler’s “No Historic Properties Affected” finding.
