            Eric Johnson, Board of Works

            Tammy Davis, Board of Works

            Angela Eck, Clerk-Treasurer

            Ted Miller, City Superintendent

Eric Johnson opened the special meeting of the Board of Works of the City of Butler at the Utility Office, 201 South Broadway at 10:20 am.

Clerk-Treasurer Eck reported that there was a problem in the North Mechanical Room of the Thompson Block.  The furnace was installed differently from the plan and now there is barely enough room to get into the data room.  The furnace was installed differently because of the access to the filters.  The City was not informed of any problem in this room.  She asked the Board how they would like to proceed with this.

Tammy Davis and Eric Johnson agree that the something needs to be done about access to the data room and access to service the furnace.  They would like to get Mr. McNerney involved in the issue.

Clerk-Treasurer Eck presented Allowance Authorization AA-09 in the amount of $16,681.00.  This authorization will approve replacing all of the storefront windows and some electrical issues on the roof with the mechanical units.  The allowance balance after approving AA-09 will be $29,908.00.

Eric Johnson made a motion to approve AA-09 and Tammy Davis seconded the motion.  The motion passed with all in favor.

Clerk-Treasurer Eck presented Allowance Authorization Aa-10 in the amount of $4,907.00.  It is for additional exterior lighting on the East side and to put an additional door into the mechanical room for easier access to the furnace.  Eric Johnson stated that he did not want to approve paying for the additional door when MSKTD had obviously made a mistake.  Eric Johnson made a motion to approve Item 1 on AA-10 only.  Tammy Davis seconded the motion.  The motion passed with all in favor.

The board then went over to the Thompson Block for a tour and update on progress.

Tammy Davis made a motion to adjourn and Eric Johnson seconded the motion.  The motion passed with all in favor.
